I received a dollhouse kit from my brother for Christmas one year. Since I don't have much patience when it comes to putting together difficult wood projects, I'd work on it now and then until ...... 15 years later (I'm horrible aren't I! Lol!) I have finally gotten my dollhouse kit put together and decorated. I am now on my 2nd dollhouse kit and have realized why it took me soooo long to finish the first one. The first kit I completed was 1/8" board that you had to punch all the pieces out and sand like mad, oh my, what a fiasco. The 3/8" thick kits are soooo much nicer to work with and way easier, nothing to punch out and hardly any sanding at all! Be sure to check out my links for both of my houses, along with my dollhouses within a dollhouse, and the shoe shop I made for my friend.
I've noticed that this hobby gets quite expensive real fast, so I've been getting creative and making some minis of my own. Check out my link to DIY projects for some creative ideas that I wanted to share with you.
I've also included a page of miniature links that I'm sure you'll want to see, as I have come across some fantastic web sites that I know you'll enjoy. I have recently updated this page with organized categories, I hope this helps you find what you are looking for. |
